Mission

We are dedicated to providing the most relaxing and therapeutic bodywork sessions available anywhere. We make appropriate use of heat and warm water in our work, and create a warm, safe, and nurturing experience that will facilitate injury healing, wellness in body & spirit . We are happy to coordinate our work with your other healthcare providers and will do medical massage by prescription from your PCP. We will give you receipts to submit to your own health insurance carrier or will directly submit invoices for massage sessions approved for worker's compensation and automobile accident claims.

Qualifications

New River Valley Massage Therapy Associates is a group of Certified Massage Therapists practicing in Montgomery & Giles counties. We are a diversified group with many different specialties. Meet our staff.

All of our members have passed the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork exam and are certified by the Virginia Board of Nursing. Also all associates are members in good standing with either the Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals or the American Massage Therapy Association®.

Please leave us a message with your name, number, date and time you would like to schedule your massage. Please keep in mind your massage will be considered tentative until we call you back to confirm.

If this is your first appointment you can speed through the initial intake process by filling out the client intake form and bring it with you. If you have an aquatic bodywork session bring the aquatic bodywork intake form.

Gift Certificates

Gift Certificates are available and are a great way of saying happy birthday, thank you, congratulations or just about anything. Call us and we’ll put one in the mail to you or send it directly to your special someone.

Directions

We have three office locations. Two in Blacksburg and One in Newport.

Newport

From Blacksburg Virginia take US 460 west (Approximately 8 miles). From West Virginia take US 460 east. Follow US 460 to Newport and Route 42 . Turn East on route 42 (a right hand turn if coming from Blacksburg). Go through Newport, pass the rescue squad and the rec center on the right, cross the bridge pass the fire department on the right. Turn Left at the next street, Caldwell Lane (this is approximately 1.5 miles from when you turned off 460 onto route 42). Once you turn onto Caldwell Lane follow the white board fence straight back to the blue house at the end of the road. 143 Caldwell Lane.

Blacksburg

We have two offices in blacksburg the first is Long and Foster Building 3601 Holiday Lane and the second Blue Ridge School of Massage and Yoga 2001 South Main Street, Suite 106, Colony Park

Directions from downtown Blacksburg:

Drive South on Main St. toward Christiansburg. Pass through the 460 interchange and Yellow Sulphur Rd. is the next light. Turn left on Yellow Sulphur Rd. (you should see the Days Inn on the left). Turn right at the 2^nd driveway into the Long and Foster parking lot.

Directions from the Christiansburg:

Drive North on North Franklin toward Blacksburg. Pass Montgomery Regional Hospital and turn right at the next light which is Yellow Sulphur Rd. Turn right at the 2^nd driveway into the Long and Foster parking lot.

Directions from 460 Bypass

Eastbound (from Blacksburg):

Exit 460 Bypass at exit 5AB Blacksburg. Stay in right lane (E. Business – Christiansburg) and merge onto S. Main. Immediately get into left lane. Turn left at the 1^st light Yellow Sulphur Rd. Turn right at the 2^nd driveway into the Long and Foster parking lot.

Westbound (from Christiansburg):

Exit 460 Bypass at the Blacksburg Business 460 E/W. Take the Industrial Park exit. Turn left onto Industrial Drive. Turn left at the light onto S. Main St. Turn left at the light which is Yellow Sulphur Rd. Turn right at the 2^nd Driveway into the Long and Foster parking lot.

Blue Ridge School of Massage and Yoga

2001 South Main Street, Suite 106, Colony Park, Blacksburg. There are two entrances to Colony park use the southern most entrance. The one NOT across from Bank of America.

Do not use the Internet mapping engines for directions. There has been some recent construction and it has not caught up with the mapping sites. Use the directions below.

From Downtown Blacksburg
Head South on Main Street (460 east business), passing Ellett Road on the left and the large NBB bank on the right. Colony park is on your left. Pass the first entrance and go to the second. We are in the first building on the left. It is marked Blue Ridge School of Massage and Yoga.

From Christiansburg
Take 460 West toward Blacksburg, past the stop light at the Montgomery County Hospital. Go through four lights passing professional park on the right. Pass a Wilco station and Car Wash on the Right. Turn right into Colony Park. We are in the first building on the left. It is marked Blue Ridge School of Massage and Yoga.

From Interstate 81
Take the Blacksburg/Virginia Tech exit. Continue 460 west and take the Blacksburg Exit. Bear left on the exit ramp to the Main Street Business 460. Go through one stop light passing professional park on the right. Pass a Wilco station and Car Wash on the Right. Turn right into Colony Park. We are in the first building on the left. It is marked Blue Ridge School of Massage and Yoga.

From West Virginia / Giles County
Travel 460 East to Blacksburg. Continue on 460 bypass. Go through a light at Toms Creek Road, pass the Prices Fork Exit and pass the light at the Southgate entrance to Virginia Tech. Take the next exit - the Blacksburg exit. Stay in the left exit lane, bear to the left and turn left at the light. Go through two stop lights passing professional park on the right. Pass a Wilco station and Car Wash on the Right. Turn right into Colony Park. We are in the first building on the left. It is marked Blue Ridge School of Massage and Yoga.
